The National Bank of Iraq constantly seeks to provide the best services to its customers by providing various channels that provide these services in a method consistent with the directions of the bank and its position in the Iraqi market. And to ensure the provision of the latest banking services to customers, the bank worked on a new feature in the Iraqi banking market that facilitates the customer to make various purchases and use his mobile banking account through cooperation between the National Bank of Iraq and companies that provide electronic wallet services represented by (Zain Cash – Asia Hawala) to launch this service.

The feature of linking our customers' accounts with the e-wallet service has been provided to facilitate purchases, bill payments and the use of all services available in the e-Wallet.

Opening a Bank Account Through WhatsApp

At the beginning of 2022, our bank launched a new electronic service in the context of its relentless endeavour to provide the best electronic services with simple interface that facilitates service access to various customer segments. as Tawteen Iraqi customers are able now to open a bank account for the purposes of receiving the salary through the WhatsApp application in a smooth and fast way that contributes, to reducing the customer’s waiting time in the branch, and speeding up the procedures for opening the account and issuing the card in line with the instructions.

Electronic Statement of Account

Our bank provides a service that is the first of its kind in Iraq, issuing customers electronic statement of account for each customer separately and displayed clearly. At the end of each month, the bank sends a text message to each customer containing a link to their account statement. When customers click the link, they are requested to enter the customer number. After entering and confirming the customer number, the account statement is displayed on the customer’s screen with the ability to change the language, as it works in both Arabic and English, or download the statement in PDF file format.


It is a request submitted by the client to transfer a certain amount from his/her account to his/her other account or the account of another client frequently or without a request as a way to pay VISA cards for the simplest example: The authorization for fixed instructions is activated and canceled upon the client’s request in a written letter or an administrative decision or in the event of the client’s death, the same is the case when the cap on the VISA card expires.
