Baghdad, Iraq, September xx 2022 - Careem Iraq - the leading multi-service platform in the Middle East - has signed a partnership agreement with the National Bank of Iraq (NBI), one of the largest financial institutions in Iraq, with the aim of strengthening the role and commitment of the two organizations in supporting the technological and digital development in Iraq. 

Through this partnership, the National Bank of Iraq (NBI) will provide Careem Iraq with all the banking services it requires through its corporate bank account and as part of the services it offers to large corporates. As a pioneer in digital banking in Iraq, NBI will also provide Careem employees with a number of premium financial services through the salary localization program for private sector employees, such as online banking in addition to other digital services. On the other hand, Careem Iraq will provide NBI employees with safe and reliable smart transportation services through its digital platform, in addition to corporate e-payment solutions. Hussein Al-Bayati, General Manager of Careem in Iraq, said: “Our partnership with the National Bank of Iraq represents an important step towards achieving our goals and vision in smart transportation and electronic banking services, which mainly aim to simplify people's lives, meet their needs, and contribute to supporting the technological and economic growth in Iraq.
